Providing Meals. Empowering Independence. Keeping Seniors in Their Homes.
What is Meals on Wheels?
We deliver hot, healthy, ready-to-eat meals daily in addition to frozen meals and breakfast bags to older adults and persons with disabilities in our community.
Our clients can receive meals for a short duration while they’re recovering from a hospital stay, as respite care for their family who usually provides meals, or on an ongoing basis each weekday.
Horizons, A Family Service Alliance is an equal opportunity provider.
More Than a Meal
If there is a Meals on Wheels client that you’re concerned about and needs help connecting to additional resources in the community.

Make a Meal Contribution
Intended for current clients, a meal contribution is an additional act of support and appreciation for received services. Your contribution helps offset our costs and allows us to serve as many clients as possible. A contribution is encouraged, but we will never deny meals to someone that is unable to contribute.

Volunteer Voices
“During a delivery I advised the client that I had missed her the week before. She began telling me her story of why she wasn’t home. She had been in the hospital due to a suicide attempt. I listened to her and spent a few minutes with her. She needed someone to talk to. I was her person. So along with a hot meal, I gave her a sense of purpose also and as always, I left her with a smile on my face wishing her a very happy day.”
